Hopkinsville Art Guild

Welcome to the Hopkinsville Art Guild

Our objective is to provide a place and an organization for area professional and amateur visual artists to share their interests in the fine arts. It is the Art Guild’s foremost mission to support artists and its members.

In 1965 local artists formed the Hopkinsville Art Guild as a non-profit organization designed to promote art and cultural growth in our community. Guild membership is open to all persons, regardless of race, religion, sex, or national origin upon payment of annual dues. We welcome as members Patrons of the Arts as well as artists and their families.

Though it may be a lifestyle to some, art in itself is one of the most powerful tools in our society for unlocking the doors of self-discovery with each individual. Exposure to the visual arts does not simply enrich the quality of our lives, but can steer us toward choosing creative solutions to problems we face every day as well. Art is our key to understanding and appreciating the world we live in and the people with which we interact. Most importantly art education provides children and adults with an outlet in which to develop their unique form of expression and in turn strengthens their communication skills.

The next Guild Meeting is Thursday, February 9, at 1:00 to 2:00 at the Guild Gallery.
